Floating in a bluebell reverie

Days of the past that live on in the mind

Whispered secrets attended only by the wind

Trapped in a foxglove stupor

Nightmares dredged from a murky pool long forgotten

Sorry cries sucked up by the wind

The demise of my sanity

I have played the flute for over 15 years, achieving my ABRSM grade 8. With a background in classical music, having played in various ensembles including the National Youth Orchestra, I have performed at the Royal Albert Hall, recorded at Abbey Road studios and live-scored a production of Noye’s Fludde for Queen Elizabeth II. In recent years, I have focused more on folk music, and have performed at Green Man Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival and Manchester Folk Festival. My band has played at renowned venues like Band on The Wall and Moth Club, supported Andy Irvine and sold out the Broadside Hacks' famous Folk Club. I have experience teaching in primary schools, including SEN, and being a woodwind mentor at international folk camps in Chile, Sweden and Belgium. I am really enthusiastic about making music accessible for everyone, and believe that the most important part of learning to play is having a good attitude! I am fully DBS checked and happy to chat about rates, including block deals for lessons.
