Time stops and extends its glass fragments

What were you doing then

So that you did not hear the blood run down the stairs

A pocket of silence

Surrounded by unwatching eyes

Frozen stiff in their silver sockets

It was a yellowback tragedy

And it passed you by

Floating in a bluebell reverie

Days of the past that live on in the mind

Whispered secrets attended only by the wind

Trapped in a foxglove stupor

Nightmares dredged from a murky pool long forgotten

Sorry cries sucked up by the wind

The demise of my sanity
